Ben Brooks recently linked to an interesting Smashing Magazine article on the mobile web, which discusses whether or not websites should bother having separate, mobile-optimized versions. I could see the argument for simpler, leaner mobile websites years ago when I still used a Windows Mobile 5 device and browsed with the barely-capable Internet Explorer Mobile, but viewing mobile versions of IMDB.com (or iSource.com, for that matter) just doesn’t cut it for me.
