Apple Indeed Moving to In-House Mapping Solution for iOS 6
9to5Mac is reporting that Apple will indeed be moving away from Google Maps to in-house map technology with the introduction of iOS 6. This new mapping service will include 3D views. Remember, Apple bought mapping companies, Poly9 and Placebase a few years ago. Just last year, the Apple also bought C3 Technologies, a 3D mapping firm, just last year.
